fished wed thru the rain . already had 30 whites when i saw you don. all shallow on flats. went up the creek arm waiting for it to stop raining. took 15-20 along the banks. when it stoped raining i moved up the lake to a spot on a flat that sometimes holds fish. WOW!!!! was it loaded. i anchored and caught whites 1 or 2 at atime for 3.5 hours without ever moving. i think thats a record for me.. there were still fish there when i left at 6:30 to go in. all sizes 6-over 14 in., 1-3 ft deep. thurs. very windy. couldn’t even anchor still caught lots of whites 1-2 ft. drifting along the banks on the flats. fri. too windy to even think of fishing for me but had a great 2 days. wayne

All main lake Wayne, white bass fishing is as good as it can get right now.

will be coming down mid week for a few days. sounds like the shallow white bass fishing is really picking up . heard some good reports from up by point 5 on sat. don, have you tried up any creek arms or are you sticking mainly to to main lake areas? wayne

forgot to make a report for last fri. lots of bait but no fish above the 32 bridge. very few fish shallow around weeds found most of our fish by trolling edges of dropoffs in 8-10 ft of water. had 1 nice largemouth, afew yellows and a couple drum too . wayne

fished 11 hrs. on last mon. didn’t find a lot of shallow fish.found a few fish on points. found a few trolling the flat across from the whitley ramp, but had the best luck above the 32 bridge. double jig rigs and crank baits running 7-8ft. got most fish. didn’t fish on tues, as the heat and humidity came back pretty early. willsee about next weeks weather. (looks like hot and humid again. ). some nice fall like weather would sure feel good. wayne

finally looks like a little break from the hot and humid weather. will fish mon. and tues. for sure.still think i’ll fish the norh end unless you think it won’t be any good up there. wayne

Hi Wayne, the whites have been good up there deep and shallow both on the points next to the river…. this rain though……..

hoping the weather improves. too mutch rain, too hot. looks like a little better thurs. and fri this week. might give it a try . don have you been out this week? if you have, have you tried up in any of the creek arms or at north end of the lake?heard bite has been good up there. wayne

Never fished for crappie or whites at night, but the people we know that has, had luck on the flats for white bass and the standing timber for crappie. Hope this helps! Good luck to you.

fished fri.near the railroad bridge.took a nice largemouth and some crappie trolling 13 ft. deep on the drop offs. took a few whites but only a few small ones… fished sat. up near bo woods. found some yellows ,afew whites and som e drum at 14 ft. did find afew smaller whites on some of the points. boat traffic was really bad coming back . think next time i fish that part of the lake on a weekend, i’ll launch up there, lot less boats up there.. don, we are thinking about doing some night fishing for crappie. where or what kind of spot or depth, would you set up you’re lights on? do you think in the right spot you could attract whites too? wayne
